Now we are in big trouble!!

Livvy has finally started to walk!! She has been walking using us or a walker or the furniture for quiet some time now. She is finally taking off on her own a bit. From toy to toy or chair or what ever. Nothing to far...only 4-5 steps. She is getting so old!!!

Rules about Love and Marriage

"If you don't respect the other person, you're gonna have a lot of trouble
If you don't know how to compromise, you're gonna have a lot of trouble
If you can't talk openly about what goes on between you, you're gonna have a lot of trouble
If you don't have a common set of values in life, you're gonna have a lot of trouble
If you don't believe in the importance of your marriage, you're gonna have a lot of trouble"

Great Grandparents

We have been doing some visiting...Great grandpa Wayne Affleck and Great grandma Martha Thompson this past month and we got some 4 generations pictures.

Olivia loves a good visit and we have had plenty. This past weekend we went to Regina to help GG Thompson celebrate her 86th birthday. There were a lot of family and an accordian player and dancing. I also have to put a brag in here because Liv was sooooo tired and she didn't even play strange! She smiled and talked the WHOLE time...What a good baby!
Olivia had her first dance with Prissy...she is the woman who runs the care home that grandma is in.
Thanks to the Daku's for lending us a bed and taking us to mtg on Sunday m0rning.

We are leaving for Vancouver tomorrow so I will have some more pictures to post when we get back!!

Lesson learned

I am so so sad today!! I lost the memory card for my camera!!!! : (
I had some really great pictures on it too!! I took it out to get some pictures printed for a "who loves baby" book I got for Livvy. Well I can't find it now!! The lesson I learned is to never NEVER take my memory card out of my camera unless I do it to download pictures on to the computer and then put it right back into the camera.

Harvest is getting closer to completion. We are almost done the durum and then we just have the flax which still has green plants. Can't wait to have that all done and out of the way. There is always a bit of stress there until the crop is off. The weather is getting colder and the leaves are starting to turn. Won't be long and the snow will be here. I think I was told that it is going to be a cold winter. Olivia is almost 7 mos old and trying to crawl...where does the time go? I can still remember like it was yesterday waiting for the baby to come! (side note...I am so glad I'm not pregnant!!) and now our little baby is over 1/2 a year old. I had her at the health nurse about 2 weeks ago and she was 14 lbs 14 oz and 26.5 inches long. she is in the 10th percentile for weight and the 80th for height. Skinny and tall. She now has two teeth..the bottom middle...and she has only bit me once! I don' t think she'll try it again either after the scare I gave her.

Farm Life

Well we are still at the farm.Harvest is going...not too bad, it's going and that is the main thing.
Olivia has had a few combine rides and supper in the field. She actually really likes the ride. She watches the header and the reflection in the window behind the seat. I think she is starting to cut some teeth because she is very fussy and hard to please and that is so no like her. She spoiled me by sleeping through the night for two nights (9:30pm-8:30am) and now the past two nights she has been getting up 2 times to nurse!! I guess that is the 6 mos growth spurt happening.

We had a nice visit last week from my good friend Julie Petersen and her little boy Peyton. Had a great time shopping and talking and walking the kids and talking and eating and talking....Thanks so much for coming to see us you two and thanks to Jared for letting them come for 2 days!!! I will post some pictures later because once again I have to down load them and I don't feel like it at 11 at night.

IN-LAWS

This past week was spent at the Sask landing. One of our favorite places to go and camp...Kevin's big sister and her family came to visit from Hawaii and his little sister and her family came from Sherwood park and we had a great time. We had all of the necessary elements to make for a fun time...sun, water, beach, boat, wake board and tube, ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers and all of the other junk food that is a must. Oh and we must not forget the most important element...Family. It was great to spend some time with the Affleck clan. We even had a good friend come and do some pictures (hope you don't mind that I posted them Jen) We had a great time and some good pictures to boot!! Thought I would post a few hope you enjoy them.

We have been very busy...as per usual...but we like it that way. Our little Liv is growing soo fast!! She is 5 mos old and full of life and fun. My aunt Judy asked me tonight what I did before I had her. My reply "I had a life". Its very true our life really does revolve around her but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Hope you all survive the heat this week. We plan to stay in the ac whenever possible.
