The Belly Button

Okay so I have finally taken some pics of the belly button. I these are all at 29wks. I was taking them my self and so they are not the best but you can see that the button is almost flat. It is completely flat on top and still doing the inny thing on the bottom.

The baby has been kicking a bit more the past few days. It's movement had kind of slowed down but it has been crazy today. I am also starting to get jabs under my ribs which doesn't feel so nice. Everything continues to go fine. I go to the dr on thrusday and so I will hear the heart beat again which I am excited about. I also need to find out how long he is thinking I will be able to work. Right now the little angel has the hickups!! I definately do the prego waddle thing now. I think it is just because my hips are pretty sore. I try hard not to waddle but when I am not paying attention it just kind of happens.

As per your request

I have had some requests for pictures of me in all my glory at 7 months. Well here it is...a pic of my belly. It is huge but solid as a rock!! It feels strange to look down sometimes and see this big round thing there. It is getting increasingly hard to bend over...makes for complications when putting on shoes, socks, pants. My balance is also not what it once was so having to stand on one leg to put things on does not work. I feel like an old lady I sit to do all of the above list. It is quite pathetic. I have also had requests for a pic of my belly button as the top 1/2 has popped and is now pretty much flat. It also looks strange to me. I go to the dr on the 30th and we will find out then about how my weight gain has been this past couple of weeks. I think I have hit the 20lbs marker and that is not great considering you put on most of your weight in the third trimester!!!!!

Not much going on here other than the pregnancy. We have been busy working...I have been full time for a couple of weeks at Parkridge (it feels good to work lots again) and Kevin was doing snow removal with all of the snow we had he put about 25 hrs on the bobcat in 3 days and who knows how many more on when he was hauling snow away. We are starting to think about buying stuff for baby. We will need a crib, car seat, stroller, change table/dresser, bedding, swing (b/c i hear you cannot live with out it) and I wouldn't mind a glider chair for the baby's room. To start out we will need the car seat and a crib so those are priority. The rest will come with time. Rob and Tracey (my bro and sis in law) have offered a bunch of stuff that was Keanans and that he won't use any more. It might be handy to try it all out and see what we really need to invest our money in.

Any how that is enough about baby!!! I will post again when I have something more exciting to talk about other than my pregnancy and all that it involves!!!

Yet another unflattering pic. I am talking...but my eyes are OPEN!!!

Let it Snow...

Well Today at about 4 am it started and it is 1200 noon and it is still snowing!! Our streets were bare and our lawns needed to be raked and now it is all covered. I just love the first snow of the year. Things look so fresh and beautiful. It seems to warm things up a bit too. Only -6 degrees today. Took the dog for a walk and she had SOOO much fun. She loves the snow too.

Hope you are all having a fabulous day!!!! I know I will...Enjoying all this snow.

Very Sad

I read this really sad article in the paper today. The head line read "Tots, teens packing on dangerous belly fat"...it states that five yr olds are developing middle age paunches!!! Abdominal obesity has increased more than 65% btwn 1988-2004. Belly fat is the worst kind of fat you can have, studies show the increased risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes due to excess body fat located around the abdomen.

What a sad society we live in where Obesity is no longer just a problem in the adult population but also in children who are supposed to be active and therefore fit. That just goes to show how bad the invention of the T.V. and the x-box or whatever your video game unit of choice is. When we were in Hawaii our nephew's best friend didn't like to come over to his house to play because it was boring...no tv or video games...he would rather have Taylor over to his house so that they could sit and play playstation.

Physical activity is so important. Try turning off your tv for a week and see how much you get done and how much weight you might loose!!

A few more....

Here are a few people shots.

Me and Kevin at Bubba Gumps
Troy and Renee (taylor in the back)
Tyya, Tiffany, Renee, and Taylor when they dropped us off at the air port
"Pine trees" the local surf spot
At the volcano on a walk we did
As promised ....

Finally as promised I got my act together to post some pictures from our trip. These ones are mostly scenery. The first is a view from Troy and Renee's back yard and that house in the mix is where they live and we stayed. Enjoy
